Conveniently situated in Atlanta GA, Le Fashion Lab is a fashion design school providing high-quality fashion design classes and workshops at beginner, intermediate and advanced level. We offer over 20 classes in subjects that include fashion illustration, sewing, draping, patternmaking and garment construction. In addition, we provide training in industry-standard software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CAD. To accommodate your busy schedule, we offer classes in the evenings and at weekends.

Fashion Programs for Beginners:

- Introduction to Fashion & Sketching
Course Duration: 20 hours - 8 sessions, 2.5 hours each. Prerequisites: None
This class introduces you to the process of fashion, and is a great starting point for building a portfolio.

It provides an excellent overview of the fashion process, including concepting, sketching, creating a color palette and flats, and choosing fabrics.

You create a mood board, illustration and flats board for a cohesive collection. It is a great class to help prevent blocks to creativity and keep those design ideas flowing.

Course Duration: 20 hours - 8 sessions, 2.5 hours each. Prerequisites: None
Recommended for all students at the beginner level, this class is the ideal starting place for garment construction classes.

It provides an excellent introduction to technical sewing principles, through creating a sample book of various seam finishes specific to various fabric types, buttons, zippers, welt pockets, facing, etc.

Students will have sample book for reference even after class has ended.

- Intermediate Sewing
Course Duration: 20 hours - 8 sessions, 2.5 hours each. Prerequisites: Introduction to Sewing
This class provides a continuation of the sewing principles you learned in Introduction to Sewing.Photos of Le Fashion Lab, Atlanta Here, previous techniques learned will be applied to creating a professionally-finished shirt with collar and sleeves.

- Advanced Sewing
Course Duration: 20 hours - 8 sessions, 2.5 hours each. Prerequisites: Introduction to Sewing, Intermediate Sewing
This class provides a continuation of sewing principles learned in Introduction to Sewing and Intermediate Sewing.

Here, previous techniques learned will be applied to creating a professionally-finished tailored jacket with notched collar.

- Beginning Fashion Illustration I
Course Duration: 20 hours - 8 sessions, 2.5 hours each. Prerequisites: Introduction to Fashion & Sketching
Learn the skills you will build on to create an outstanding fashion portfolio! This class will teach you to draw the female figure while also learning to make “fashion appropriate” adjustments.
